  • Roanoke Pride or Roanoke Pride on Facebook - Their mission is to promote acceptance, visibility, and a sense of community for Southwestern Virginia Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and other gender and sexual minorities by organizing events and providing opportunities for celebration, education, and outreach.
  • Roanoke Destiny - (LGBTQ ..Youth support group) Affiliated with Roanoke Pride, Roanoke, VA - DESTINY (Diversity Education and Support To INspire Youth) is a safe and nonjudgmental meeting space to LGBTQA youth in the Roanoke Valley.
  • Roanoke Equality - Roanoke Equality is a grassroots/netroots organization dedicated to achieving full and equal rights under the law, in all matter governed by civil law, for GLBT Americans, through outreach, education, advocacy and activism.
  • Roanoke PFLAG Group - See the RDC calendar of events on our homepage for their meeting schedule. This is the Roanoke PFLAG Chapter. PFLAG is a national advocacy group for Parents, Families, Friends and Allies United with LGBTQ people to move equality forward. 
  • Floyd PFLAG Group or on Facebook -  Floyd PFLAG is committed to: Providing a supportive, loving environment for all members of our community, including those of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
  • Lynchburg PFLAG Group Lynchburg and surrounding area - Lynchburg PFLAG is a local support, education and advocacy organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning people, and their allies.
  • Intercept - To make a lasting positive impact on those we serve: children and youth, their families, and the agencies that support them.
  • LGBT Young Professionals of South-West Virginia -  The emphasis on the group is placed on young LGBT professionals, but open to allies as well. Since it can sometimes be difficult to find a place to meet like-minded folks, especially for those just moved to the area, lets get a group together for networking and friends!
  • Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. 3807 Brandon Avenue, SW, #1115 Roanoke, VA 24018 -  Roanoke Youth Advocate Program has been providing community-based programming and supports to youth and families in and around the Roanoke Valley since 2009.  
  • Spirit of Tolerance and Art in the Region - (S.T.A.R.) Roanoke Region - "The Spirit of Tolerance & Art in the Region", that’s what we’re about, in a nutshell. Our goal is to build upon existing events and organizations like Juneteenth, Pride Parade, Local Colors, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Henry Street Festival, to name just a few, and (to) create new initiatives.
  • Local Colors - Roanoke Region - Local Colors is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit unique to the Roanoke Valley that strives to bring people of different cultures together in peace through educational services.

  • Roanoke Outside - The Roanoke Regional Partnership initially created Roanoke Outside to showcase why the Roanoke, Virginia, Region is one of the best outdoor communities in the United States. In 2013, with the support of the Partnership, the Roanoke Outside Foundation was officially formed as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. It is our mission to make outdoor activity and environmental stewardship a core component of our community’s lifestyle by promoting a “conservation through recreation” philosophy.
  • Family Services of Roanoke Valley - Family Service of Roanoke Valley improves life and restores hope to the most vulnerable of our neighbors, from the very youngest children to the oldest adults, through prevention, counseling and support services.
  • Fashionista Roanoke - They are an aspiring non-profit organization that brings fashion shows and other related events to the Roanoke Valley. Our goal is to provide charity through fashion! We raise donations at our events to support local charities and our community.

  • Intimate Path Roanoke Region - A private social, usually monthly dinner group. These gatherings are held in private homes and restaurants. The group is open to all LGBT and allies although it is now attended largely by gay men. Membership and more info can be obtained through intimatepath@gmail.com.
