Out. Proud. Aware. is a collaborative program of The Drop-In Center (program of Council of Community Services) & Roanoke Diversity Center (LGBT Community Center). Our goal is to increase positive sexuality; knowledge of HIV/STD/Hepatitis risk behaviors; and regular HIV/STD/Hepatitis screenings, while decreasing the likelihood of unprotected sexual behaviors.

Through educational workshops and entertaining outreach events our goal is to provide these services to gay men, bisexual men, and women who identify as transgender (male to female). These services are also open to lesbian women, bisexual women, men who identify as transgender (female to male), and all who have diverse gender and orientation identities.

The Drop-In Center is Roanoke, Virginia's one-stop spot for information and resources on HIV, STDs, and other health related issues. The Drop-In Center provides HIV counseling & testing, Hepatitis C antibody testing, support services for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, comprehensive HIV/AIDS referral & linkage for inmates, regularly held support groups, training for professionals, and community testing services. Their website is HERE
