The new date for Fête is Sunday, January 13th.
The original date (December 9th) was postponed due a major snow event in our region. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation as your safety is important to us. Please stay tuned to our Facebook event page for the latest party updates!

FFAQs (Fête Frequently Asked Questions)
1- What are the event times? 6-11 pm. The upstairs ballroom opens promptly 6 pm, but if you arrive a few minutes early, you are welcome to relax in the downstairs area until doors open.
2- I am unable to make the rescheduled date of January 13th. Can I get a refund? We are so sorry to miss you :-( Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your refund request no later than Dec. 23rd, 2018. Please let her know the number of tickets for which you need a refund. Thank you.
3- Where is the event? The Patrick Henry Ballroom, 611 S Jefferson St in downtown Roanoke. The ballroom is on second floor—you can’t miss it!
4- Where do I park? Our party takes place on a Sunday, so there should be plenty of street parking options. Or, consider parking in one of downtown’s parking nearby lots. Here’s a map: http://parkroanoke.com.
5- Do you have any transportation tips? If you plan to raise a glass (or a few) with us, be SURE to have a designated driver or plan head for a safe ride home. Consider LOCAL business Big Lick Boomerang whose experienced drivers will come to the event and drive you home safely, *in your own vehicle,* often for less than the cost of an Uber or taxi both ways (and DEFINITELY for less than a DUI). You must pre-register for insurance reasons. Take just a moment to so at biglickboomerang.com. Their website explains the process of reserving a driver (it’s easy!)
6- What about my “ticket”? There are no paper tickets. Simply present your name and photo ID when checking in. We can ONLY accommodate guests who have pre-purchased a spot (as a single, a couple, or as a member of a table), since we are completely sold-out.
7- OK, so how do my table guests check in? Your guests only need to tell us your name and present a photo ID (if they intend to drink). We’ll check folks off as they come in! They (and you) should look for the reserved table signs on the large tables to know where to sit.
8- Are tickets available at the door? Unfortunately, NO. We are completely sold out. We cannot accommodate additional guests at the door. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
9- I’m not part of a table; I’m a single or a half of a couple who pre-purchased tickets. Where do I sit? We are thrilled by the community’s overwhelming interest in our event, and that we have completely SOLD OUT of tables and tickets. All LARGE tables have been purchased/reserved, but for those of you coming as singles or couples, don’t worry, there will be plenty of smaller cocktail tables for your comfort and enjoyment. Plus, this is a party, and we encourage you to mix, mingle, dance, and meet your neighbors!
10- Why is your event on a Sunday? Holding our event on a Sunday helps keep our costs down, so we can divert as much money raised as possible toward our programs. It also allows us to keep our ticket costs lower, saving you money. Despite being a fundraiser, our event is one of the most affordable of its kind in town.
11- What's this event all about anyway? It's all about celebrating YOU, the amazing supporters and community of the Roanoke Diversity Center! It's also a fundraiser for our LGBTQ+ community center and 501(c)3 non-profit. We are currently outgrowing our space in Southeast Roanoke, which is why we are raising money for a move to a larger, more centrally located space (hence, "Groove for a MOVE"!)
