OPA is a collaborative program of The Drop-In Center (program of Council of Community Services) & Roanoke Diversity Center (LGBT Community Center). Our goal is to increase positive sexuality; knowledge of HIV/STD/Hepatitis risk behaviors; and regular HIV/STD/Hepatitis screenings, while decreasing the likelihood of unprotected sexual behaviors. Youth SAGA (Sexuality & Gender Alliance) of Roanoke

The mission of Youth SAGA of Roanoke is to support, educate, empower, and advocate for youth ages 12-18 with diverse identities across sexuality and gender in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas. The group provides a safe and supportive meeting space, co-facilitated by professional volunteers, to engage in dialogue around issues of interest affecting the lives of youth. Youth SAGA of Roanoke meets the first and third Sundays of the month from 5:30-7:00, location TBA. Details will be posted for upcoming meetings.

Rainbow Chat 

The Roanoke Diversity Center invites anyone in the LGBTQIAA2P community to an evening of socializing and chatting. This is an informal, respectful, topic-by-consensus, open to all group. This peer-led group meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month 7:00PM - 8:30PM at the Roanoke Diversity Center.

Bi The Way Bisexual Group Support Meetings 

Do you identify as Bisexual, Pansexual, Asexual, Queer, Fluid (Middle Sexuality), or Questioning? The Roanoke Diversity Center has a group for you! This group meets the second Wednesday each month at the Roanoke Diversity Center 7:00PM - 8:30PM. Bring your questions or if there is something you wish to discuss with us, share the topic!

This event is led by Suzanne Ashley. Come meet other people who identify as bi/pan/Queer/Asexual/Fluid/Questioning! Hang out, chat, munch on some snacks, share your thoughts and questions, make friends, bring friends, and have a good time!

Queer Women's Group -- Currently NOT meeting

This group meets the 3rd Saturday of each month at Roanoke Diversity Center 7:00PM - 8:30PM 

This FREE peer-led group for anyone who has a gender identity which does not fit within the binary of male and female. Chat, make friends, meet accepting & caring people, & enjoy some snacks! 

This group is for anyone who identifies as gender non-binary, gender non-conforming, genderqueer, androgynous, intergender, agender, bigender, pangender, genderfluid, demigender, amalgagender, two-spirited, questioning, and supporters!

Ladies & Gents of the Blue Ridge Transgender Alliance - 

We are a transgender alliance group located in southwest Virginia. We actively meet for social, support and awareness events in the community. We support and participate in local LGBT events. We encourage diversity,communication and respect. We meet the 3rd Friday of each month at the Roanoke Diversity Center 7:00PM - 9:00PM.  

HIV+ Support Group -- Is organized and managed by the Drop-In Center. For more information about that support group and when their next meeting is, please call 540-982-2437.
